The TAS Farm Innovation Hub is excited to offer three unique opportunities for Tasmanian farmers, innovators, and changemakers to connect, learn, and be inspired.

1-2 September | Victoria 

The TAS Farm Innovation Hub is sponsoring 10 individuals to explore solar innovations and research on farm, transforming the future of agriculture. 
From solar-powered vineyards to ethical beef systems and drought-resilient grazing, this tour will spark ideas for making Tasmanian farms more productive and sustainable.

Tour Highlights:
- Yarra Yering Vineyard: Sustainable winegrowing
- Paringa Livestock: Holistic grazing & tech-driven farming
- Dookie Campus: Agrivoltaic Vinyard Pilot research trial
- Seven Creeks Wagyu: Ethical beef & drought resilience.


Who Should Attend?
Tasmanian farmers:
- Working in any industry from viticulture and horticulture to livestock or mixed farming, 
- Who are interested in farm sustainability, resilience and future innovation.

Farming Forever National Summit

1-3 September 2025 | Canberra

Hosted by Farmers for Climate Action, The Farming Forever National Summit will bring together over 300 farmers, community voices, and industry leaders to explore sustainable agriculture, clean technologies, smart energy, and climate-ready farming. The TAS Farm Innovation Hub will sponsor five Tasmanian farmers to attend with all costs covered. The Hub is also providing media training and capacity building to help participants share their insights from the summit and their farm achievements with the wider agricultural community.

Why Attend?

The summit offers a unique chance to network with over 100 farmers and industry leaders, find solutions that will work on your farm, and share your experiences. The summit will provide you with the tools and knowledge to future-proof your farm business, with key topics including:

- Climate-Smart Farming & Climate Science: Presentations on the latest climate science and panel discussions on diverse paths to a resilient future of farming in a changing climate.

- Renewable Energy & Technology: Sessions on electrifying your farm for profitability and productivity. Breakout sessions will also cover innovation in energy and farming technology.

- Sustainable Practices & Regenerative Agriculture: Discussions on simplifying carbon reporting and accounting, biodiversity and on-farm conservation strategies, and building and sustaining healthy soils for future generations.

   Drought Resilience & Innovation Tour – Tasmania  

3–5 September 2025 | Northern & North-West Tasmania

Join us for a dynamic three-day tour as Western Australian and Tasmanian farmers come together to explore cutting-edge farming and supply chain practices, adapting for future climates, and innovation across the agricultural landscape.

Hosted by the TAS Farm Innovation Hub in partnership with the South West WA Hub, this tour offers a rare opportunity to connect with fellow farmers, researchers, and industry leaders while visiting some of Tasmania’s most innovative farms and agri-businesses.

TAS Farm Innovation Hub - Growing Climate Resilient Communities

Funding & AcknowledgmentS

This program received funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.

The Australian Government is contributing $12.4 million over 4 years through the Future Drought Fund under various grants. Hub partners and the University of Tasmania will provide co-contributions of an amount at least equal to the Australian Government funding over the same period.

We acknowledge the palawa/pakana people, the traditional custodians of the land upon which we live and work. We honour their enduring culture and knowledges as vital to the self-determination, wellbeing and resilience of their communities.
